Counselor's Corner

This is my 1st year at Riverview but my 10th year as an educator, and I am so proud to be able to serve the Huntington Community. My teaching career is diverse, with three years in private alternative high schools, three years in a 5th/6th-grade building, and three years in a public high school teaching credit recovery. I'm passionate about working with students to figure out solutions and enhance the educational environment! I work with Riverview students every day of the week. I am available to meet parents with teams of teachers or individually. I feel it is extremely important to have contact with parents and have their input and insight as we educate each student. I am very excited to be at Riverview serving as a school counselor! I worked at Huntington North in the Guidance office as a counselor from 1998 – 2011. From 2002 to 2011 I also served as the Director of Guidance. Then I retired from full-time work. Last Spring, I worked at both Riverview and Crestview filling my current position for a maternity leave. They asked me back for this year. I look forward to working with our middle school students!
I split my time between Crestview & Riverview. I am at Riverview on Tuesdays and Thursdays and every other Friday.
